Dance Dad first!
I am a “Dance Dad”. My daughter Nicole danced competitively for years and I loved every minute of it, with the exception of having to do her hair! Those perfect damn hair buns frustrated me to no end! A messy bun was doable but the routine called for a perfect bun. I finally gave up on them and thanks to the dance moms on the team we were able to make it work.
As a single father who only knew and understood sports, dance was a completely new world to me. Little did I know at the time that dance would soon become my world, my passion, and my creative outlet. I became inspired to produce a fashionable, cutting edge team wear collection, specifically for the dance industry, to address the needs of my daughter and her teammates and it just grew from there.
At Nicole’s dance competitions, I like all the other parents, would sit in the audience for the 2 or 3-day event. When teams would gather for the adjudications, I could not believe that these bubbly, talented girls were subjected…..
